Another journalist, Nellie Bly, was also in the race. Both women wanted to go around the world quickly.
Bisland traveled by ship, train, and carriage. She went through Europe, Asia, and across the Pacific Ocean.
At that time, it was hard for women to travel alone. People did not like it, and travel was dangerous.
Bisland wrote about her trip for newspapers. Many people read about her journey.
Her trip showed that women could travel far and do big things, even in difficult times.
